Benjamin Moore’s Color of the Year 2027 Is the Design Equivalent of Touching Grass

Micro-trends are fun, yet by their very nature, equally fleeting. Making design choices based on the moment—even when it comes to something as technically easy to change as paint—can be a gamble. And as the team behind Benjamin Moore’s Color of the Year 2027 assembled to pinpoint the defining shade of the coming year, the last thing they wanted to do was lean into what wouldn’t last.
Instead, the team decided on a shade that alludes to the idea of stepping away from the mind-numbingly rapid social media trend cycle, and touching grass instead. The Benjamin Moore Color of the Year 2027 is Webster Green, a verdant mid-tone with cozy blue-gray undertones that is an established part of the company’s Historical Collection.
